To build a table you need wood....
...and to build a CommuniTable? CommuniTable?
It takes the people: their hands, their stories, their ideas, their visions, their memories, their desires...
TavolaCittà is a citizen activation project, a call to the arts for the creation of a community installation in which everyday and recycled objects become a vehicle for a polyphonic, visionary and intimate tale of the cities we live, remember or imagine.
The city is transformed into a Table - a common space, a safe and welcoming place - around which to meet, play, tell stories, share a meal, work together, confront each other.
The CommuniTable is a relational art device designed for community involvement and relationship building in public space.
The CommuniTable is a relational art device designed for community involvement and relationship building in public space.
The construction of the Table itself is designed to involve the community and create relationships in public space, through training sessions in which to create the structure and tablecloths, putting into play and exploring artistic and expressive paths that in a second phase will contribute to the creation of entertainment events and conviviality: the CommunyTable, placed in public spaces, becomes a tool to support the welfare of the community itself.
Through the workshops that Cantieri Meticci has activated in the neighborhoods of Bologna, the CommunyTable is constantly enriched with ideas and narrations. Although they are designed for different contexts and age groups, in fact, they all start from the same question: what does your city look like? a cosa somiglia la tua città?
CommunyTable Workshop
The workshops are completely free, and it is possible to participate in just one of the appointments, or in more workshops in a discontinuous way:

Saturdays in September, from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Artistic-manual workshop to invite citizens (children, young adults and seniors) to express themselves about the city they see, live and want.
In correspondence with the appointments of the Farmer's Market, the Cantieri Meticci and Cidas open the doors of Salus Space for a creative workshop, trying to answer the question together: what does my city look like?, giving space for everyone's vision.
